It could all be so different if the Recruitment Industry adopted and worked within the spirit of quality.
I also know that most sales people believe that “quality” equals a tick in a box that costs them productivity.
My question today is how close to the wind will a company go before they realise a tick in a box is a profit safety blanket?
Let’s just imagine that you get a call TODAY from one of the many governing bodies in place to ensure that you are not breaking the law, from experience, and may I add many hours of corrective surgery, you are given notice of the impending visit. This results in every member of staff being pulled from their day to day operating practices to make sure that the “audit” is compliant. Forget Sales Calls, Forget Matching, Forget Spec calls therefore forget making any money on those days.
To me the answer is quite simple; make sure it’s compliant NOW
Audit your current workers
Establish where you are lacking
Train your staff to understand and improve the daily working practices
Police the process
Audit again!!!!
Learn from your mistakes before the Authorities charge you for them.
